Harrah’s is a bit less user-friendly than some of their rivals in the market. Parx and its two off-track betting parlors have the option to build bets through both desktop and a smartphone app that can be scanned at the window. No word if Harrah’s will develop that.

Despite being in Chester, this is a big deal for the folks at Caesar’s Entertainment. Later in 2019, the company will open The Book at Bally’s Wild Wild West on the Atlantic City Boardwalk. The retail betting venue should rival others like Willam Hill’s books at Tropicana and Ocean Casino, and DraftKings at Resorts.
Pennsylvania has focused on physical sports books at locations like Harrah’s to bolster the horse racing industry. Even with the launch of online sports betting this spring, the traditional locations will be key players in building customer loyalty and repeat business.
